Using complex synthetic developed for different activities, Sidas insoles deliver a personalised solution that effectively responds to the specific requirements of your feet.
At the Sidas production site in St Etienne de Saint Geoirs, each custom orthotic insole is cut and assembled by hand to guarantee that the manufacturing process is monitored and controlled. Each material used to make the orthotic is allocated a batch number and safety data sheet.
A SIDAS custom orthotic insole comprises of multiple layers of materials which are combined and then later moulded to your feet. This allows the production of 100% custom orthotic in a short period of time. In 24 hours, you can walk away with a new pair of custom orthotic insoles.
The unique placement of materials on different areas of the orthotic provides a necessary feature for that stage of movement.
The Process
Your podiatrist will conduct a comprehensive assessment of your foot type, activity, footwear, any pathology you may have and then will select the perfect custom orthotic insole for you.
After the selection process, the insole will be heated and thermoformed to your feet, creating a 100% custom product specifically for you.
Your Podiatrist will then customise and do any extra required modifications before fitting them into your desired footwear. The end result is an aesthetic, washable, personalised insole.

How long does it take to get my SIDAS insoles?
SIDAS are ready to be collected in 24 hours. If you would like them sooner, please get in contact with us.
Who makes the insoles?
Your podiatrist is qualified and trained to manufacture the insole. At our Alexandria clinic we have a fully equipped workshop where all out orthotic and insole manufacturing occurs.
How long will they last?
How long a pair of custom insoles lasts dependes on how often you wear them and what activty you are doing. If you are wearing them every day for walking and standing, they lsat for about 18 months. Other activities (such as running) reduce their life to 12 months.
Why should I get two pair of custom insoles?
Different activities have different demands on your feet. We recommend one pair for normal day-to-day activities and other pair for sports.
Can I use the same insole in a different shoe?
Not every shoe has the same shape or depth. If you wear shoes that differ in size and shape, then it will be hard to move them across shoes. However, if the style of shoe is the same, you can use the same insole in different shoes.
Are custom Sidas insoles covered under private health insurance?
Yes. If you have podiatry covergae, you will be able to claim for the insoles. The rebate will vary beased on your policy.

Care Instructions
- To clean your insoles, wipe down with a damp cloth. Remove sand and dirt for your insoles with a damp cloth regularly to avoid cover separation.
- Avoid exposure to extreme heat or direct sunlight.
Wearing Instructions
- Begin by wearing your insoles for approximately 1-3 hours on the first day of issue.
- Increase the time by 1-2 hours every day until they can be worn all day.
