This was my first time trying out Posh Nails. There is a "front" & "back" door entrance. I waited about five minutes then was seated. He did a great job with the attention to detail of my nails. Pros: it was beautiful and they offered beveragesCons: my manicure was awful. I got a full gel set and walked away so upset with how they looked that I went home and filed the color off. They were very uneven and one side of my nails would be thin and the other was very thick. The technique was sloppy and I had color all over my cuticle also they had most of their gels in boxes so it was impossible to actually see what you were looking for. The price was about $10 more than what I usually pay and it definitely was not worth it. I spent $50 for my set and hated it. I wouldn't waste my money ever again. Read Less

Mom and I came in to have pedicure and nail done. Jose did a terrible job on my feet, rushed , 15 minutes the whole time. He ripped my nails off with out asking me and charged me almost $100 dollars for my pedi and nail. My mom had a bad experience with John, I believe he is the owner of this place, so rough and rude with my mom. John talked the whole time on his phone while working on my mom. After going to LY LY for over 4years and being completely happy, it is time to find a new place. They have changed owners and a Jose did my nails today and they look like crap! They are filed uneven, did not even paint the corners or edges of my nail, they are bumpy and when you hold them to the light you can see how the nail is painted thin. The worst job ever. DONT DO IT TO YOURSELF! I was in a hurry, so I figured just this 1 time I would run my mom in to do a quick manicure. The lady in the chair before my mom got nicked by the tech. No big deal, it happens. She uses a paper towel to clean the little blood droplet up. The nail tech continues to file and buff her and she was asked to go wash her hands. The tech then signaled for my mother to come sit in the chair, and picks up that same nail file and buffer that woman just got blood on. My mother snatched her hand away, and we left immediately. If this is the Posh Nails at Porters Neck the worse nail salon I've ever been to. The attitudes were terrible, the woman who worked on me was brand new and I had to walk her through every step including washing my hands before applying polish. The filing was jagged. An absolutely wonderful place to get your nails done. I came for a pedicure with my mother and a friend and they sat us down immediately. It wasn't too busy, granted it was 3:00pm on a Monday. The ambiance is just wonderful: no distracting TV, classy and calm decorations, complementary drinks (coffee, juice, wine, mimosas), calming music, and free WiFi. The staff was great and made sure they knew what you wanted. I felt it was a little on the pricier side, $30 for a classic pedicure, but I feel like it was totally worth it for the whole visit. My mother and I just had one of the worst nail salon experiences of our lives. We arrived at 1:30 today was were told it would be a 15 minute wait so we decided to stay. 55 minutes later they finally put my mother in one of the pedicure chairs. She sat in the pedicure chair for 45 minutes before anyone started her pedicure - her water went cold while she was waiting. I was finally seated after 90 minutes, ruining our mother daughter mani-pedi time because my mom and I were so irritated by all of this. We then asked how long it would be and were told "4-5 minutes" to which we asked numerous times "4 to 5 or 45 minutes?" and were assured it would be 4-5 minutes. Needless to say it was another 25 minutes of waiting. Now I will say that my pedicure itself was nice and relaxing but we were so disappointed by their service that I found it hard to enjoy. My mother continued on to have her nails painted where things took a turn. She was cut by her nail tech and he stared blankly at her while her finger was bleeding all over the table and when she asked for help he shrugged because he couldn't speak english. When my mom asked to speak to the manager, she stepped outside so no one else would hear how upset my mom was. The manager, Twee, threatened to call the police on my mother and said it was her fault he cut her because she didn't tell him not to stop. In what world is it her fault? My mother and I left so disappointed and will most definitely never be back to Posh Nails -- least "posh" experience we have ever had and we will be sure to tell all of our friends never to go there!!!!!!!!! I LOVE this nail salon!! As soon as you walk in, you see elegance with crystal chandeliers, shiny white tile floors, and upscale seating. I sat down in the most comfortable massage chair I've ever experienced, then I was brought a mimosa. Thuy does an amazing job with my nails and fabulous foot and leg massage for my pedicure. I felt like I was in a different world when I walked in the door. This is not your typical nail salon. I felt like I was in an actual spa. The design, the chairs, equipment were Superb. They offer free Mimosas , wine, Coffee, soft drinks and water. The staff is very good, too! I almost fell asleep getting a pedicure I was so relaxed. That has never happened in any other place.
