Not only is soup easy to make, but it also's a great way to make it in large batches, reheat, and even freeze. So, I decided to share my favorite fall vegan soups to welcome Autumn.

How long do homemade soups last in the refrigerator?

  • Fall vegan soups last 5 days in the refrigerator and last up to 5 days in the fridge.
  • Can I freeze soups in Tupperware?

  • Yes! But leave about an inch or two from the top of the soup to the top of the container. Make sure to allow the soup to cool completely or refrigerate the soup first to speed up the freezing process.
  • Do you defrost soups before reheating them?

  • The soup should be removed from the freezer and thawed in the refrigerator overnight. Completely thaw the soup before reheating.
  • Tips

    • When meal prepping any fall vegan soups, remember to freeze any extras. Use Solo cups to freeze soup for individual servings.
    • Always allow soup to cool to room temperature before freezing.
    • Another way to freeze soup is to use a measuring cup and pour the contents into ziplock bags. And then, label each bag with a permanent marker, identify the type of soup and write the date on the bag.
    • For individual servings, I suggest quart-sized ziplock bags (4-cup freezer-safe plastic or glass containers)
    • To avoid freezer burn, I recommend lining the top of your soup with a piece of plastic wrap to prevent freezer burn.
    • I recommend using Souper Cubes to freeze soups for the fall.
